Sound familiar?

It's still in the box

The wardrobe arrived weeks ago and nobody has had a free evening to build it.

The TV's on a stand

You wanted it on the wall, but not with wobbly fixings in plasterboard.

The door catches

It sticks, drags or won't latch, and it's getting worse.

A tenant moves in Monday

A handful of repairs and touch-ups need doing before the keys go over.

Finally Tick Off the Jobs You Keep Putting Off

You know the list. A wardrobe still in its box, a TV sat on a stand, a door that catches on the frame. Each job is small, so none of them gets done. We’re a handyman in Birmingham who sorts jobs like these, and you can get the lot cleared in one visit. Call us on 0121 330 2052, Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm.

We’re a local Birmingham handyman who takes on the small jobs other trades won’t bother with. Our visits run in the evenings until 9pm, Monday to Friday, so you don’t have to take time off work. Send us your whole list and we can quote the jobs together.

If something needs a specialist, we say so plainly rather than have a go, because a job done properly beats a quick fix.

Flat pack assembly, TV mounting, door fitting and repair, curtain poles and blinds, fence and gate repairs, gutter cleaning and repair, and painting and decorating all fall within our handyman services. Landlords can also call on us for repairs between tenancies. We are based in Birmingham B6 and cover Solihull, Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding West Midlands.

Questions people ask

How much does a handyman cost per hour in Birmingham?
It depends on the job, so we don’t give one hourly figure here. The cost depends on the size of the work, how easy it is to reach and any materials needed. Tell us what needs doing and we will quote for the job. If you have several small jobs, send the whole list and we can quote them together.
Can you do several small jobs in one visit?
Yes. Send us your full list and we will quote the jobs together, then plan them into one visit where we can. That saves you finding a different person for a shelf, a door and a curtain pole. We cover Birmingham, Solihull and Sutton Coldfield, including Boldmere, Walmley and Four Oaks, Monday to Friday until 9pm.
Can a TV be mounted on a plasterboard wall?
Yes, in many cases. It depends on the weight of the TV and what is behind the plasterboard. Plasterboard on its own is weak, so the bracket needs to fix into timber or use fixings made for hollow walls. We look at the wall first and tell you plainly if it is not suitable.
Can I mount a TV in a rented home?
Check with your landlord or letting agent first. Your tenancy agreement may say you need permission before drilling into walls. If they agree, we can mount the TV and leave it neat. If drilling is not allowed, a TV stand or unit may suit you better. Get any permission in writing.
Who pays to repair a shared fence panel?
It depends on who owns that boundary, and this is not always the same on both sides. Check your title deeds and talk to your neighbour first. Once you agree who is responsible, we can repair or replace the panel. We can’t give legal advice, so ask a solicitor if you disagree.
Which jobs do you not take on?
We don’t do electrical work, gas work, plumbing repairs, locksmith work or rubbish removal. For those, call a qualified electrician, a Gas Safe registered engineer, a plumber, a locksmith or a waste removal firm. If we visit and find a job needs a specialist, we will tell you plainly and won’t have a go. Got a list of jobs waiting for you at home? Tell us what needs doing and we will quote it all together.
